In remembrance of Robert M. Foley
1943-2008

Established in 1988, Foley Kalseim & Company, Ltd is now the largest CPA firm in the Stillwater area. We share office space with another CPA firm which has its own specialized niche. This association gives us the depth of service found in many regional and national firms combined with the personalized service and responsiveness associated with a ‘small’ firm. We believe in building long term relationships with our clients.    Our firm provides outstanding service to our clients because of our dedication to the three underlying principles of professionalism, responsiveness and quality. We provide total financial services to individuals, large & small businesses and other agencies.

Our office environment is professional, yet relaxed. We encourage each team member to feel a sense of ownership of their work and to know that their contributions are appreciated. The company is committed to helping each team member succeed. Many interns have become a permanent part of our team.

We opened the doors in 1988 under the name of Robert M. Foley, CPA/PFS (St Thomas alum).  Bob came from a large CPA firm and had a very loyal client base which followed him to Stillwater.  Bob enjoyed his clients and wanted to create a better work life balance for himself and others.  His client base was mostly comprised of high net worth individuals and his expertise was in retirement and estate planning.  Bob’s goal was not only to work on his clients retirement planning but his own as well as to build the more diverse practice we have today.

Jami Kalseim Flanagan, CPA (UW River Falls alum) joined Bob in 1988 and became a shareholder in 1992.  Katie Rolf, CPA (St Thomas alum) and Dustin Moeller, CPA (UW River Falls alum) became shareholders in 2007.

We currently have 9 full time accountants (5 are UWRF alum), one seasonal accountant, one full time office manager, one part-time administrative assistant and typically one or two seasonal interns.

We are members of the MN Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)

Our community involvement has included a team in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life for more than 10 years and a program called KiddAccounts where we go to elementary schools to introduce the concept of being a Smart Spender.  Involvement in professional and community organizations is highly supported and encouraged.

As a firm we support everyone in following their personal and professional passions.

We attend annual firm retreats to brainstorm on upcoming technology needs, how we can be the best at what we do and ways to improve our professional lives.

Education is a high priority and we attend more than the required amount of continuing education classes annually.
